Шпигел јавува: A German politician has triggered a debate by calling for an official Turkish translation of the German national anthem to symbolize how multicultural Germany has become.  But conservatives worry it would send the wrong signal about integration.

Das Lied der Deutschen е композиција на Хајден уште од 1797.. текстот е пишан во 1841, а химната си има своја традиција и во Вајмарската Република, како и за време на нацистите. Една од химните со најдолга традиција во Европа, башка компонирана од славен историски лик, и така си е, империјална, ово-оно.
